Imagine standing at the edge of an open plane door, 10,000 feet in the air, heart racing, adrenaline pumping. That’s exactly what Cerith Williams will be doing on Sunday, 27 April 2025, as he takes on a tandem skydive in aid of the Jac Lewis Foundation.
Taking off from GoSkydive Swansea at Swansea Airport, Cerith will be freefalling at a breath-taking 120 miles per hour before his parachute opens, slowing him to a smooth descent. It’s a big challenge, but for an even bigger cause.
Supporting Mental Health in the Community
As the treasurer and one of the founding trustees of the Jac Lewis Foundation, Cerith has played a key role in helping the charity support individuals across Ammanford and South West Wales. This year, he’s taking his commitment a step further.
Having worked tirelessly behind the scenes for the Foundation, Cerith sees first hand just how much work goes into running various projects, and the real impact it has on people’s lives. While he’s always donated his time, this year he wanted to do more by raising funds to support the team’s continued efforts.
Skydiving is something Cerith has always wanted to try, but he’d never found the right reason to actually go ahead and book it. That changed with a gentle nudge from the Foundation’s Julie Powell, inspiring him to finally take the plunge. Now, he’s hoping to raise over £1,000 to help facilitate the fantastic work the team continues to do every day.
