We’re absolutely delighted to share some wonderful news with you all – the Jac Lewis Foundation has been awarded funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, thanks to money raised by National Lottery players.
This generous funding has been awarded for our Mental Health Community groups, which aim to help individuals in our community not only cope with life’s challenges but thrive through them.
Based in the heart of Ammanford, the Jac Lewis Foundation is proud to support mental health and wellbeing across South West Wales. Every month, we welcome people into our support groups and wellbeing sessions – spaces where you can talk, connect, express yourself, or simply take a moment to breathe.
Thanks to this funding, we’ll be able to continue running and developing our range of much-loved and much-needed Mental Health Community Groups in Ammanford and surrounding communities, including:
- Saron Church Grief and Art Therapy Groups – helping individuals process grief and loss through artistic creativity and compassionate guidance.
- Ty Dyffryn Well-being Group – a friendly, welcoming group supporting individuals through informal conversation, peer support and gentle activities.
- Well-being in Nature Group – where we embrace the calming power of nature to boost our mental health and help us feel grounded and connected.
- Golau yn y Gaeaf (Winter Wellbeing Group) – supporting people during the colder, darker months with warmth, kindness, and community connection.
These sessions are not just about talking – they’re about listening, sharing, healing, and creating a safe space where no one feels alone.
We know that life can be tough. That’s why we’re here – to walk alongside people in our community who may be struggling with their mental health, dealing with grief, or simply in need of a place to be themselves.
Our mission has always been to make sure support is available, local, and accessible to anyone who needs it – and thanks to The National Lottery funding, we can continue doing just that.
To everyone who plays The National Lottery – thank you. Your support helps community organisations like ours make a real difference in people’s lives.
If you or someone you know would like to join one of our groups or find out more about the support we offer, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. You’ll always be met with a warm welcome.
Together, we’re building a healthier, more connected community – one conversation at a time.
