On Thursday 15 and Friday 16 May, the Jac Lewis Foundation was proud to host a special exhibition at Ty Dyffryn, Ammanford, celebrating the creative talents of local people who take part in our wellbeing and therapeutic groups.
The exhibition brought together a powerful collection of artwork, clay sculptures, mosaics, drawings, crafts, poetry, and creative writing – all created by members of groups such as the Ty Dyffryn Well-being Group, Well-being in Nature Group, and the Grief and Art Therapy groups at Saron Church. These sessions are led by the ever-inspiring Beth Balch, with the kind support of Jac Lewis Foundation volunteers Rachel, Mark, Lara, Emma, Rhyl, Rhian and Judy.
Each piece on display told a story – of strength, hope, grief, healing, and personal journeys. Through the power of creativity, participants found meaningful ways to explore their emotions, express their thoughts, and connect with others. Whether it was a heartfelt poem, a vibrant painting, or a carefully crafted clay sculpture, every creation was a beautiful reflection of the individual behind it.
It was wonderful to see so many people come along to support the exhibition – not just the artists and makers themselves, but also their family members, friends, and members of the local community. There was a real sense of pride and togetherness as people viewed the artwork, shared conversations, and celebrated the therapeutic value of creativity.

At the Jac Lewis Foundation, we believe in the importance of creating safe, supportive spaces for people to talk, create, and heal. Events like this remind us of the power of community and the many ways people can come together to support their mental health and wellbeing.
A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone involved – the participants, facilitators, volunteers, and visitors – for making the exhibition such a success. Your creativity, courage, and kindness continue to inspire us all.
